VersaBox and ESA logistika collaboration as part of the Innovation Hub

Going beyond conventionally understood logistics, we will bring innovation to the future of business and people’s lifestyles. This is the promise that the Hitachi Transport System group, of which the international logistics operator ESA logistika is a part, is making to all its partners and beyond.

As part of this commitment, representatives of ESA logistika and the producer of innovative technology for autonomous mobile robots and autonomous forklifts VersaBox SA signed a letter of intent for mutual cooperation on Wednesday 13th of April 2022.

This is a natural result of ESA logistika’s search for innovative solutions that allow to increase the efficiency of operations. – By establishing this cooperation we create what we can call an innovation hub. Together with our partners, as an integrator we want to develop and implement modern technologies in the TSL branch – says Łukasz Dziewanowski, Managing Director of ESA logistika in Poland.

Recent years have been a huge test of resilience and flexibility for logistics. Thanks to cooperation the possibilities of both sides are definitely growing and this gives an unquestionable advantage on the market. – As a producer of a digital transport system based on autonomous vehicle technology, we appreciate the prospect of developing the technology “live” as part of operating at a specific location. Our partner, on the other hand, gains the possibility to enrich his offer with modern solutions and to apply our system in intralogistics,’ emphasises Jacek Królik, founder and Chairman of the Board of VersaBox SA.

Rafał Łuczak, IT and Implementation Manager at ESA logistika, is also happy about the tightening of cooperation. – We carried out our first joint activities with VersaBox a few years ago but I am glad that now the cooperation will be tightened. This will allow us to maintain such important synergies in the processes. VersaBox by offering us access to its mobile application depicting the work of robots on the basis of warehouse layout and data, allows us to analyse current processes without conflicting with warehouse operations and this translates directly into flexibility of operations – adds Rafał Łuczak.

Cooperation between ESA logistika and VersaBox is an example of implementation of the Japanese idea of LOGISTEED Hitachi Transport System, which is to combine logistics in practice with continuous development and striving to achieve results beyond the existing possibilities. As customer feedback shows, this is a move that has been long expected in the market and will allow both companies and their customers to go beyond conventional logistics and respond quickly to challenges that continue to arise.
