Automatic coupler module

Module providing Versabot with programmatic coupling capabilities – payload pickup and release is controlled by process logic. Its primary use is the towing of mobile platforms and trolleys between designated destinations. Standardized coupling interface allows for towing various types of trolleys or carts (e.g. pallet trolleys, gitterboxes or kanban carts) with a single unit.

How does the automatic coupling module work?

A mobile robot equipped with an automatic coupling module can autonomously approach a transport cart, connect to it, and begin executing the transport task. Once the destination is reached, the robot automatically disconnects the cart and proceeds to the next assignment.

The coupling process is controlled by fleet management software and process logic, enabling full synchronization between material transport and production or warehouse operations.

As a result, a single robot can handle multiple carts and perform dynamic logistics tasks throughout the facility, maximizing system flexibility and efficiency.
