2022 is behind us. What was it like for the industry? Will the year 2023, which is just beginning, bring a recession to the industry?
It was a difficult year, but certainly a successful one for autonomous transportation systems. The scale of projects and the interest of companies indicate that AMR solutions are moving from the pioneer phase to the mainstream, concludes Jacek Królik, CEO of VersaBox.
The most important issue has become limitations in the availability of components used in our machines. This forced us to find alternative technology suppliers and develop and verify different design options for our robots. However, this work has allowed us to increase the flexibility of our robots and our ability to optimize the components we use.
The year 2022 was important for VersaBox for several reasons. First, we significantly expanded our sales in Poland, winning orders from large and prestigious customers. The largest order is a fleet of dozens of VB1500 robots adapted for transportation in the production process of automobile tires. Second, we closed another round of financing for product development, capacity expansion, and overseas expansion. Third, we have acquired new customers abroad, which is particularly important in terms of the goals of this round and plans. These are important steps in our development plan changing the scale of our business.
