Permanent coupler module

Permanent coupler is used to tow tools such as trolleys and dollies that actively perform pick-up and release operations. It provides standard Tool Interface between the robot and its tool – a set of power supply voltages, safety signals and communication bus. Standard Tool API allows True Autonomy system on the robot to control execution of actions performed by the tool.

VERSABOT with permanent coupler used to tow mechanical dolly used to carry the hangers between production nests using a monorail transport system for welding, painting and finish operations. Pick-up and delivery are fully automated as signals are exchanged between the VERSABOT, the dolly and the devices at the production nests.

VERSABOT with automatic coupler used to tow a specialised trolley for interfacing with roller conveyor with heavy pallets. The trolley used for pallet transport is equipped with motorised rolls, and control signals are used to synchronise pallet pick-up and drop-off activities between VERSABOT and the conveyor.

VERSABOT with permanent coupler specialised trolley for exchanging palettes with roller transport lines. The exchange of signals allows for variable precision docking processes.
