VERSABOX JOINS EIT DIGITAL ACCELERATOR TO EXPAND IN EUROPE

Polish scaleup VersaBox, which specialises in smart intralogistics, is joining EIT Digital to accelerate its pan-European growth. The EIT Digital Accelerator will support VersaBox in acquiring end customers and channel partners in the manufacturing and logistics verticals in high opportunity European markets.

Intralogistics is the process whereby the logistical flow of information and goods within a distribution or fulfillment centre is optimized and automated.  VersaBox’s AUTONOMY@WORK platform utilizes autonomous mobile robots to improve the internal movement of goods, and therefore significantly reduce OPEX costs.

The platform consists of software components for process design, simulation, execution, and control of AMR deployments on factory floors and warehouses, as well as a portfolio of AMR robots that are the best in class in terms of navigation technology, robustness, and safety.

The company was founded in 2013 in Warsaw, Poland, and spent 5 years developing TRUE AUTONOMY™, the proprietary navigational AI technology that powers VersaBox’s autonomous mobile robots. VersaBox’s solution has been further enhanced by the addition of fleet management, process design, simulation, and management components, thus forming the AUTONOMY@WORK platform.

VersaBox solutions are implemented in international manufacturing and logistics companies, such as Faurecia and Huf.  Jungheinrich Gmbh, a leading global intralogistics provider, has also partnered with VersaBox to expand its offering of comprehensive, integrated transport systems for business-critical processes.

Accelerating international growth with EIT Digital

VersaBox is joining the EIT Digital Accelerator to boost its international expansion by leveraging the business development expertise of its pan-European team. The EIT Digital Accelerator will help VersaBox access manufacturing and logistics companies interested in understanding and harnessing the potential of smart automation in their intralogistics processes, and service providers and system integrators interested in helping deploy VersaBox’s innovative intralogistics platform.
